Autocraft exhibited for the first time in the UK at the Automechanika 2017 show at the NEC Birmingham, during 6-8 June. Autocraft showcased its OEM-standard engine build capability, with visitors to the stand participating in using the ‘No Fault Forward’ technology to correctly torque bolts on a Ford Sigma Cam Cover.

Widely billed as the UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain, Autocraft was situated in the heart of the Supply Chain Zone. Visitors to the stand also learned of Autocraft’s specially developed PTWA/RSW cylinder bore coating technology and cylinder head and block machining capability.

The stand was shared and co-branded with sister-company Vertex Engineering Solutions, who displayed an array of prototype and low volume component capability. Machined components including Aston Martin V12 inlet manifolds were on display, together with Vertex’s fixture design and manufacture capability and mould & die machining expertise.

We are pleased to inform you that we are about to commence work on an upgrade of our electricity supply at Autocraft. The growth achieved at Autocraft in recent years has taken us to our maximum electricity capacity. As we plan to grow the business further in the coming years we need to have a more stable and reliable electrical supply with an appropriate increase in overall capacity. The upgrade that is about to take place will deliver the stable and reliable supply we need and provide an uplift in the current capacity to our site.

Ground works will start on 30th January 2017 and take up to 4 weeks to complete.  Preparation for the works has already started with the pollarding of the trees that line the left hand side of the public roadway as you approach our Factory from the main road. This is required to maintain vehicle access during the first 1 to 2 weeks when a trench will be dug alongside the stone wall to bury a new supply cable. We have been assured by Western Power that vehicular access will be maintained at all times although as the width of the roadway will be less than normal we will require drivers of all vehicles to be particularly courteous to other road users and travel with care at a minimal speed. Appropriate signage will be in place to this affect in line with highways regulations.

There will be a further 2 weeks of work to dig the trench through the grounds of our facility between the Top and Bottom Shops at Autocraft. We are not envisaging any disruption to either the delivery or collection of goods or to our power supply during normal working hours. Should unforeseen circumstances arise we will inform you.

Whilst we do not believe that you will experience any significant disruption during the installation of this power upgrade we ask for your patience and understanding whilst we complete the works. If you experience any issues or concerns during this period please do not hesitate to call Steve Harris (MD) on 01476 581300.

Thank you for your support and understanding

Company Chairman
