Purchase Buyer

Purchase Buyer reporting to Operations Manager, the role is to provide buying expertise and support to the Material team.

The position includes responsibility for purchase contract negotiations with the aim to reduce purchasing costs year on year, analyse purchase requisitions for accuracy of information and best price prior to purchase, maintain purchase procedures, handle day to day procurement for non production items such as consumables, maintenance/engineering items and Health and Safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of purchase practices and procedures, knowledge of materials, products and the commodity markets, ability to prepare Request for Quotation packs and a skill in both written and verbal communication.
